It's Cow, It's a Cat... It's a Codeable Music Video!

Doja might've just did something!
Superstar Doja Cat's first rise to fame was as a meme when her viral "MOOO!" swept the internet by storm in 2018. Since Doja has made quite the name for herself with the success of her second studio album, Hot Pink (2019). Once again being absorbed by social media. Finding a home TikTok as users rushed to go viral by making creative dances and trends with a majority of the album. I can admit I cannot listen to the whole album without recreating a TikTok dance, shout out to  "Say So"!
In 2020 Doja released her third studio album Planet Her, met with amazing feedback. Planet Her is her most visually captivating body of works. Filled with playlist-worthy bops about relationships (and lack thereof). Our girl is noted as being ahead of her time. Well, she definitely proved that again this year!

Doja Cat and Girls Who Code teamed up to give us the first codeable music video! Yes, you read that correctly.  I'll wait for you to pick up your mouth from the floor. Earlier this month the unlikely pairing launched the first-ever interactive codable music video for Planet Her's, smash single “Woman”. Available on DojaCode.com, you can customize parts of the music video. Add master programmer, director, and producer to your resume, sis!

Initial Thoughts
I'm already a big Doja stan but this is remarkable. I feel like we're one step closer to being on the Miley Cyrus episode of Black Mirror.
Going on the website already looks so futuristic which is obviously the theme of the album. It states that the programming languages that users will code in are Python, CSS, and JavaScript. I always recommend these programs for beginners they are easier to learn as the syntax is "simpler".
Out the gate, we are into some programming. My good sis Teyana is sitting pretty and waiting to get her stiletto nails painted. The code is already pre-written but it gives you the option to choose from many colors/patterns by autofill. Which is the general vibe throughout the experience.
I think the concept is super cool. I think this is a great way to urge young girls to get into the tech industry and show that coding can be cute. I wish there was a way that users can play in it a bit more, instead of just an autofill. However, that does not discredit this accomplishment! I think this is a great intro to some beginner-friendly programming languages. Literally cannot wait what other concepts Doja has in store and how this will inspire other artists.💚
